A thermocouple temperature probe uses the thermoelectric effect to measure temperature through two different metal wires joined at one end, generating a voltage corresponding to temperature differences.

- Junction: Measuring (hot) junction where wires join, connected to measuring device (cold junction)
- Insulation: High-temperature resistant materials (ceramic, fiberglass)
- Sheath: Protective metal or ceramic casing for environmental protection
Based on the Seebeck Effect: when two different metals are joined and exposed to temperature gradient, a thermoelectric voltage is produced at the junction. This voltage relates to the temperature difference and is converted into temperature readings using calibration data.
